Charlie, a founding member of Riverside Financial Group, LLC, has over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. In addition to earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business, Charlie holds a Series 65 (Investment Advisor Representative), and a life and health insurance license.
Charlie began his career in 1983 as a registered representative of a NY-based investment firm, and subsequently managed a branch office for the firm in San Jose, California. He returned to Connecticut in 1991 to begin his own independent financial services practice. Over the last 21years, Charlie has been associated with a number of financial planning and asset management firms, and has continued to develop investment strategies that are designed to perform in boom and bust cycles, and to provide wealth management solutions that aim to have a positive impact on the financial futures of his clients.
Charlie lives with his family in Guilford, Connecticut. He is active in a variety of sports, primarily lacrosse, tennis, and sailing. He is the music director of a men’s contemporary acapella group named the Conn Artists, and is active in a number of musical organizations. In the community, he is a board member of the Friends Center for Children in New Haven, and is a mentor in the Guilford Public School.
Tripp is also a founding member of Riverside Financial Group, LLC. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and has been managing client assets since 1994. In addition, as the Vice President and active board member of Carlson & Carlson (see “Our Trusted Partners”), Tripp helps to formulate and implement the various insurance strategies within our broader financial planning service. Tripp holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, and life, health & long term care, group, and property casualty insurance licenses. He is also a member of the Professional Insurance Agents Association. Tripp is a 1993 graduate of DePauw University, with a BA in History.
Tripp is married and the father of two boys. He lives in Darien, CT, and is active in the community as either a manager or supporter of youth lacrosse, soccer, swimming & water polo, and sailing. Personally, Tripp enjoys competing in softball, swimming, and platform tennis. He is on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Adult Day Care and the Rocky Point Club of Old Greenwich, and is a member of the First Congregational Church of Darien.
Advisor Assistant, Investment Strategies
Steve, a veteran of the U.S. financial markets, is responsible for monitoring the performance of client portfolio holdings and total account performance, and assisting the advisors with the research and analysis of market trends that impact portfolio performance and the implementation of investment strategy. Steve began his career in financial services as a Surveillance Analyst on the Boston Stock Exchange, and later became a trader for Dresdner Securities. He moved on to manage the execution business services on the exchange for both SG Cowen and then later a joint venture between Moors and Cabot and BNY. Steve and his family moved to CT where he worked with the founders InfoExchange, a market research retrieval service. Steve currently lives in Trumbull, CT, is father of three, and husband to Elsa Worth, the Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Trumbull. Steve enjoys music, mechanical work, and reading. He holds a B.S. In Economics, class of ’84, from the University of New Hampshire.
